About Shoya Ishiguro
Shoya Ishiguro is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt and submission grappler from Tokyo, Japan. He currently trains out of Carpe Diem, a prominent academy in the Japanese BJJ community.
Throughout his career, Ishiguro has achieved significant accolades in the sport, including a second place finish at the World Pro in 2018. He was expected to go on and win the tournament, but he had to withdraw from the final due to injury.
Ishiguro’s dedication to BJJ and his competitive achievements have solidified his spot as a leading figure in the Japanese grappling scene.
Now he wants to take it a step further and become one of the planet’s leading submission grapplers, and he has the chance to do just that by competing with the best in the world’s largest martial arts organization.
