About Shinji Suzuki
Shinji Suzuki‘s journey into Muay Thai began at the age of 14 when he discovered a martial arts magazine that described the discipline as the strongest striking art.
This sparked his interest, leading him to train at a local gym. To further hone his skills, he traveled alone to Thailand, immersing himself in the sport’s birthplace.
Upon returning to Japan, he trained under the legendary Toshio Fujiwara, the first foreigner to win a Rajadamnern Stadium Muay Thai World Title.
Balancing his passion with practicality, Suzuki worked in a grocery store for a decade to support his training and fighting career. His perseverance paid off when he won the Road to ONE: Japan tournament in 2022, earning him a contract with ONE Championship.
Suzuki’s story exemplifies dedication and resilience, marking him as a notable figure in the world of Muay Thai.
